Very good work on that. And yeah, I agree. Ariel is definitely one of the best Disney characters. And yeah, that scene you based that artwork from was also pretty awesome as well. Truly a shame that she was really shafted by Katzenberg and Woolverton, though, not to mention several critics. It wasn't enough for her to be very proactive, actually develop her goals before she even met Eric (who if anything just acted as the final push she needed to pursue her goals), actually do a lot of badass things, including not only being the first DP to actually save her love interest, but actually do so twice, three times counting the situation regarding Vanessa. No, her even falling in love with Eric at all made her a bad role model according to them, so they decided to needlessly make their next DP a Women's Liberation-type character which effectively ruined her and the intended moral of her film.
Not that it matters, though, as Ariel outranks Belle anyways in terms of popularity, and I doubt that will change in the near future.
I lOVE this!!!!!!!!!! This has always been my fave way to look at Ariel!!!! When she's on the boat and she and Eric look into each other's eyes and she lowers her head and you see this exact expression!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gawd, I love it!!!!!!!
I thinks its so funny that fan art is like the highest viewed, i personaly think fan art is pretty unoriginal the character isnt unique and youre really just copying someone else and putting your own spin on it, but art that is your own and and created purely by insiration and coming straight from your head, i think thats where the real art forms. (i do realize i just put down all my art but eh for me its the truth)
haha, i agree totally. im not sure why its done so much. i feel like the majority of work on this site is people using computers, and maybe its easier to draw fan art on computers? im not sure, because i dont use computers to draw, but i think its so hard to draw fan art and make it look good!
